The second leg of the Triple Crown takes place this Saturday with the 142nd running of the Preakness Stakes at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore Maryland. Pimlico is a 1 1/4 mile dirt track that is 70ft wide and a final stretch of 1,152 feet. You can follow Preakness on twitter as well as Pimlico on twitter.
A collision during the beginning of the last Kentucky Derby ate away at Classic Empire’s chances, while firmly steering Always Dreaming in the path of the Crown of Roses. That was then! – Pimlico Park will be hosting this year’s most-expected racing rematch for an opportunity to set the record straight: Can Always Dreaming truly hope for a triple win? – Will Classic Empire finally show what it can do? Or… will Gunnevera and Lookin at Lee create the perfect upset situation? – Always Dreaming is top favorite at -160, followed by Classic Empire at +300*
